Scope of Work: Master Locators was originally called to work the Core Project at the Philadelphia Art Museum to do Concrete Scanning. When the technician got there, he realized that he would be able to locate this sewer line using electromagnetic scanning (EM) for private utility locating. He did a scan to locate a 12 inch sewer line running through the room because the client is coring in the area where the line is expected to be located. Technician had a weak signal but was able to locate the sewer pipe in a trace/locate. The results were field marked with green paint. The Philadelphia Art Museum will be building a new art gallery in the museum by creating a new floor in the basement of the existing building. The museum will open up a total of 90,000 square feet of new space to the public, including 23,000 square feet of gallery space. The Vaulted Walkway, will be restored and accessible via the old north entrance of Kelly Drive. The Core Project is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2020.
